Our lovely group member Momoka, has safety delivered her second baby Shinichi.

Momoka was so happy she could deliver her second baby so easily.

She discovered that she was pregnant last Fall. It was during our performance rehearsal.  However, since it was the early stage of the pregnancy, she decided to do the full performance and to continue practicing ballet weekly. 

just came back long holiday vacation

After a three month break (without practice or workout at all) back in Japan around Christmas and New Year, She has been really feel backache due to  growing baby in her belly. she returned back to practice with us under careful instruction. 
After class, her backache was gone and she felt good and really happy. So she continued to take classes all the way until her due day. She practiced until the week before she delivered Shinichi. 
I visited her at the hospital 2 days after her delivery, she was looking good - her usual Momoka. I was really surprised her quick recovery. it looked amazed! Happy birth with Monique Ballet. Looking forward to seeing Momoka,After this Summer vacation!


 

Miri(2yrs) and Noriko(mom) Success story

Miri and Noriko joined class in the last fall/ winter season. They are very committed, coming to every class they could.
Last Nov, Noriko told me this amazing story that Miri started to teach ballet to her 5 years old brother and her 12 year old sister in the evenings after class.

She was so into it, that she immediately had to share the great time she had in the class to her family. Noriko(mom) was really happy to see her growth. Miri loves Passe and Arabesque very much and Chasse is her favorite movement. This month, however, both have to go back to Japan.
Their last class was 2/12 and we had a farewell  class with our LOVE.

After this farewell class, Noriko(mom) sent me some pictures. 
She gave lessons to aunt, dad and mom...everyday!  :D Great JOB Miri! 

Also Shizuka(mom) and Rina(baby1yrs old ) they also move to LA. 
They've been committed all classes.  

I love to see those kids to grow and see their beautiful future! 

Mom baby class: Laura's 2nd Baby will be comming soon

Newsflash!

We had a wonderful Laura's 2nd Baby shower class on Jan22. We wanted  have our 1st 2018 baby-mom class  earlier but bad weather, holiday and schedule conflicts pushed it out to the 22nd. It wasn't too late to celebrate Laura's 2nd baby cerebration class.  The due will be 2nd week of Feb!! Chika and Emiko brought  baloons and flowers as gifts. All mom's babies gif for her and new born bay was lovely Uniqlo baby clothes. Monique made the signature sleeping baby sheep diaper cake. Noriko brought a whistle. The class ended up quite dynamic for everyone from crawling low, releve walk, to high jumping. We did the movement challenge game with Noriko's whistle. Thank you, everyone, for all your contribution to this wonderful class.  We can't wait to hear the Laura's birth announcement.

A very touching wailing...

It is very hard to say good bye to someone who really came close in
dance!

She came twice a week almost every week, hanging in there with very hard
practice committed toward the  annual class performance and many
volunteer performances for the last 2 years.

Chie was one of those very serious and dedicated dancers.She was just started almost 2years ago. She never called off despite babies being sick. (She has 2 babies and and is
taking care of her husband as a house wife as well.)

Now she had to leave to Seattle for a sudden job change of her husband.

We all knew this is going to happen eventually, but we were so sad at
the moment.

At her last class, many many tears rolled "I loved your class so much!!". Her crying was non stop.I've never see such a beautiful wailing in my life.

Teachers are not supposed to show open emotions - never cry in front of
the students.I leaned this from many of my teachers who growing in Europe and China.
They all were very strong...

But in such a case I could not hold back my tears either.

At her farewell party, her husband came up to me.

He told me that Chie used to practice after her washing up all the
dishes and clothes, after she brought  the babies to bed, and her
husband went to sleep. After that she started to practice pirouettes in
the living room. One day her husband told her "Please quit doing that,
the downstairs neighbor will complain!"...
He said "Thank you so much for giving her such a happy life and living
in Bay Area. Since she found you and Monique Ballet, she has changed her
life. She was looking very happy and laughing more...actually she was."
Her husband took my hand "I deeply appreciate!"

Now, after they moved to Seattle, Chie talked me by phone " I could not find any classes here  like you offered me ". then She still keeps practicing with us through video class.
New chapter opened with her and us.

Thank you, Chie, for everything, and for that kind of dedication.
For personally, I am so appreciate that how Chie loves my style's of class and how she appreciates my class is very special one than others with my big LOVE. 

Love is a one of big part of foundation of my class.

Grow! Babyis and Moms in Foster City

It was great time Wed Aug9! Babies and Moms class in Foster City. 4years old Rika was jointed with her baby sister. It was a lot of fun and so many challenge for babies and moms. I can see their grow now. Keep up!
 

A Special Diaper Cake gift for Maiko

Maiko turned 10month July30. We cerebrated to make a diaper cake!
She was hopping to wait her baby girl  for a few weeks...
She declared " I will be back to the class with healthy baby "
Seems the baby Hana could not wait to see us, Maiko delivered her baby 4 days after the this diaper cake gift.   Congrats, Maiko!

July 4, annual Ballet Picnic back!

Happy 4th of July!
again, this year we had our annual ballet picnic at Golden Gate Park.

It was just the 4 of us this year, most everyone had family commitments,
or was traveling.

We had a lovely fresh air workout and a nice sweat under the tree with
the birds and squirrels wondering whats going on. Everyone shared
homemade delights from their heart, before we went on a walk through the
park admiring the flowers and the bamboo....
Our lovely memories must keep go on to next.
